Here are some "crazy" things about the ENGLISH Language:
-- There is no "egg' in eggplant
-- No ham in hamburger
-- And neither pine nor apple in pineapple
-- French Fries were invented in ENGLAND
-- Boxing rings are SQUARE
-- A Guinea Pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a Pig

All languages have soemthing crazy like that. A rollercoster in Spanish is montana russa (Russian mounatins) and rollercosters have nothing to do with Russia
